Dryad Queen

This was a digital painting done for one of my favorite art streamers Stumpyfongo. He used to stream a lot in the midst of COVID, and I hung out there quite a bit while trying to do other stuff in the background. This specific drawing was done as part of a Lost Woods challenge, where participants had to draw characters they would find in a deep fantasy forest. I loved it!

The original concept sketch, I settled on the left one.

Tree Dragon

Done sometime in 2009, as part of a COW #154 (Creature of the Week) challenge on conceptart.org with the prompt of "Hanging Upside Down." This was all painted in Photoshop.

The Hatchling

This little dragon is protecting her brother. This was mostly done in Clip Studio Paint.
 

Elric and the Sad Giant

This is an illustration from 2010, done mostly in Photoshop. If you're not familiar with the hero and the story, I suggest you look into it. Highly recommended.

The Duel

This is a pencil drawing from 2006 (I think) that was colored digitally in Photoshop. It represents about the peak of my art skills at the time. I did this for a Blizzard art challenge that was posted online and the drawing represents a couple of characters from Warcraft. When I look back at this now, it looks terrible, but I still love it.

Ars Goetia 61 - Zagan

Zagan, one of the nine Kings of Hell.

A very powerful entity who commands over thirty three legions of demons. Listed as the sixty first demon described in the Lesser Key of Solomon. He is classified as both President and King, both titles symbolic of the power and sway he has within the infernal abyss.

When summoned, Zagan often assumes the shape of a winged bull, but will transform into a man some time after being conjured. He has the power to turn water into wine, blood into wine, and back again. He also has the power to turn any metal into coins. It is said that he can impart great knowledge upon any man, and even turn a fool wise.

I N F E R N O

Fear not the dark my friend, and let the feast begin!

It's a quote from Dark Souls, the Ringed City, but it spoke to me in ways that are depicted in this picture.  At the time I made this artwork I wanted to push myself, to see what I can actually do as an artist.  I worked on this a long time, and I'm rather happy with the result.  Looking at it now, there are things I would change, but I suspect more art in this vein will come in the future.  

This digital painting was made in 2021.   

Detrail 1 is the angel being dragged down into the inferno.

Detail 2 is the big demons on the ground.

Detail of Flyer! These guys in and of themselves were in line with the usual quality of art I produce in a full piece, here they are just lost in the big picture.

This drawing was "updated" in 2018 but was originally made for a 2008 Character of the Week (ChOW) challenge at the now defunct conceptart.org website.

Dragons - Ink Sketches from 2019

Here are a couple of sketches I made in the year of our Lord, 2019.

This one is a baby dragon on top of an egg that hasn't hatched yet. This sketch would serve as a basis for a digital painint I made a couple of years later.

Dive bomb! Dragons are never far from my mind. I grew up roaming the hills looking for lizardss and snakes. I love scaled things that are cool to the touch! Do you feel the same way?
