This fairy was painted as a demo on stream for about an hour in 2021. While not being an actual speed painting, this is about as speedpainty as I go... No refs were used, matter of fact I didn't even know what I was going to paint when we started, but it was February... so it descended into a Faebruary sketch. The entire thing was done in Photoshop.
This was a digital painting done for one of my favorite art streamers Stumpyfongo. He used to stream a lot in the midst of COVID, and I hung out there quite a bit while trying to do other stuff in the background. This specific drawing was done as part of a Lost Woods challenge, where participants had to draw characters they would find in a deep fantasy forest. I loved it!
The original concept sketch, I settled on the left one.
This is an ink sketch from 2020, slightly modified in Photoshop.
2020 was a bad year for me when it came to art. This is actually the only sketch that I saved on my machine from that year that was even worth showing.
Description: In ancient Roman religion and mythology, Janus is the god of beginnings and transitions, thence also of gates, doors, doorways, endings and time. He is usually a two-faced god since he looks to the future and the past. The Romans dedicated the month of January to Janus.
This was a drawing I made in January 2018 for a Character of the Week challenge over at conceptart.org, made in Procreate and Photoshop.
