Of Fire and Ice - Stibnite

This is a sketch from 2012 that also had another figure in the background. The drawing got heavily reworked and was never published before. I colorized it for the #Huevember2025 challenge over at Cara.app

The challenge was to use certain hue or color in an artwork on a specific day. On the 19th and 20th day of November the hue was "Stibnite" which is a grey-ish metal alloy which is toxic. The hues shown in the color picker for the challenge were very blue-ish though. I decided to use both a color layer to shift the drawing's colors to the blue and a gradient map with the dark values mapping to stibnite but the lighter values being mapped to warmer orange and red hues which were also part of the overall color pallete for the month of November.

The character is a fire witch.

Balo the Burnt

This is an ink sketch which was painted over digitally. The original sketch was very small, maybe 2 inches across, and was made in 2023. However, the final drawing was completed in June 2024. The character is also known as Balo the Runt and if you encounter this name while playing Elden Ring, it's probably me.

Beholder Drawings 2009

This was the year in which I went back to an old concept regarding Beholders, having these really bright burning central eyes. The drawing above was done for COW #156 (Creature of the Week) prompt on conceptart.org with the prompt "Red Hot Doom." Below are a couple of sketches with the same theme.

Fire Mage

This is a character I designed sometime in 2009 as part of my Eternal Seven story. The drawing has been touched up multiple times since the initial sketch, to the point where I think it just needs a complete rework.

The Duel

This is a pencil drawing from 2006 (I think) that was colored digitally in Photoshop. It represents about the peak of my art skills at the time. I did this for a Blizzard art challenge that was posted online and the drawing represents a couple of characters from Warcraft. When I look back at this now, it looks terrible, but I still love it.

Zalei Ironhand

This is the original, first art, of a character from the Eternal Seven story. The concept has since been refined, but I love this old pencil drawing made sometime in 2006. Color is a simple overlay done in Photoshop.

One with the shadows and fire

Dragon Fire Sketch

This is a pencil sketch from 2013 that I intended to paint over but never went back to it. I really do like this dragon and the pose, so maybe one day...
