Black Tooth Cave Dweller

This was done sometime in 2009 as a COW (Creature of the Week) #154 over at conceptart.org withg the "Hanging Upside Down" prompt. The idea is that this little cutie hangs in caves, waiting for guests to arrive.

Dragoner

Hard to believe, this was from 2009. I remember making this drawing, I guess it was one of my better ones at the time. The girl was modeled after a photo of Kate Beckinsale. All painted in Photoshop. Here's the WIP:

The Goddess Cerunne

This was an ink drawing that got heavily modified and touched up in Photoshop. I know, it doesn't look like much, but a lot of work went into it!

Naga

This started as a really cool ink sketch. However, it scanned horribly, there's something about the ink which reflects during the scan process and makes the entire image look bad. I actually made this drawing sometime in 2023 and have been fiddling by painting it over in Photoshop in an attempt to make it look decent. I'md rather happy with the end result now and want to move on to other pieces.

Fire Mage

This is a character I designed sometime in 2009 as part of my Eternal Seven story. The drawing has been touched up multiple times since the initial sketch, to the point where I think it just needs a complete rework.

Hunting Wabbits?

This was a digital painting almost entirely done in Procreate. I set about drawing the tree with a blue color pallette, then added the characters at the end.

The Hatchling

This little dragon is protecting her brother. This was mostly done in Clip Studio Paint.
 

Arctic Foxtail Prompt

This was a drawing for a creature called the Arctic Foxtail, a prompt from Justin Gerard on his Twitch Stream. Ink sketch which was painted over in Photoshop quickly. These went into the #letsdrawmonsters category.

Wingless Dragon - Tattoo Design

This sketch was done as a request from one of my friends that wanted this as a tattoo design, not sure it actually made it to someone's skin. All done in Photoshop, sometime in February 2021.

Naked without my Sword

This was one of my best years for art. I really feel like I got a good sense of controlling my pencils and this here drawing is one of my favorite examples of that. No refs were used.

Memento Mori - Album Cover

This artwork was done as a cover for an album by Seeing Seven. The actual album can be found on Amazon and on Apple Music. Majority of the work was done in Photoshop.

The actual album cover and CD after completion, comfortably resting on the tablet they were drawn on. I was happy with this result, one of the rare comissions I took.

Steel Inquisitor Sketch

Steeel inquisitors are characters from the Mistborn series of books written by Brandon Sanderson. This is a pencil drawing that was modified in Photoshop but never really finished, last updated sometime in 2011. I did like this fantasy book series, Sanderson has a way of drawing you in and keeps the action going. I made a few other sketches related to this series.

Steampunkette - Comic Book cover 2010

This digital paining was also done for a Character of the Week challenge at conceptart.org sometime in 2010. I specifically went for a style that you might find on the front of a comic book with this project.

At the time I made this artwork I actually pushed quite a few areas which were way outside of my comfort zone. The character was inspired by Ballistic from Top Cow / Image Comics. I'm not even sure if I was going for that at the time, but when I look at this drawing a decade later all I see is Cassandra Taylor, haircut and bionic arm! I totally failed at the steampunk theme, but I created something cool!

Elf Girl with a Sword

This was done sometime in 2010.

The original sketch was done in Linux and The GIMP software. At the time I was looking for alternatives to Photoshop. I don't know why, but since the moment I've started using Photoshop I keep looking for alternatives, and while some software packages are promising, I always keep going back... In the end I did bring it into Photoshop to polish up, but it was a year of weird experiments and this was one of them.

Cthulhu

This is an illustration I created mostly in 2021, though the original ball-point pen ink sketch was made about an year earlier in 2020. This particular piece was selected as a Daily Deviation on deviant art and is what I would consider my most popular artwork today in terms of how much exposure it got.

Elric and the Sad Giant

This is an illustration from 2010, done mostly in Photoshop. If you're not familiar with the hero and the story, I suggest you look into it. Highly recommended.

Portrait from 2012

This is a pencil portrait of a woman made in 2012, a reference was used but I don't remember of who. The portrait was modified in Photoshop later, and you see a digital/pencil blend here.

The Red Mountain

This is a digital painting done in Photoshop and Procreate sometime in 2021. This came out of a brush test and practice session, I really liked it so I blew it up and went to town with it. This painting is also available as a print.

I was trying to learn to paint water with this painting, made in Photoshop, sometime in 2012.

A Dark World

This is a digital painting which was done in 2016 but then beefed up in Procreate sometime in 2018. My goal when I created this was to illustrate a fantasy landscape, with strange land shapes and a sense of mystery. The mage character is inspired by the video game Magika, and is featured in quite a few of my sketches where I like to add a figure for scale.

Pantiless Assassins 2012

This is a recurring theme in my art, someone started a silly thread on conceptart.org with this prompt and I just kept going... These are all pencil drawings done in 2012, if any editing was done on them it was very minimal.
