Fear not the dark my friend, and let the feast begin!

It's a quote from Dark Souls, the Ringed City, but it spoke to me in ways that are depicted in this picture.

At the time I made this artwork I wanted to push myself, to see what I can actually do as an artist. It is by far one of the most ambitious scenes I've ever attempted and a lot of work went into it. I learned a lot and I like the end result.

Detrail 1 is the angel being dragged down into the inferno.

Detail 2 features the two big demons on the ground, one of them pulling down the harpooned angel.

Detail of Flyer! Each one of these guys were in line with the usual quality of art I produce. Here in this artowrk, they are just lost in the big picture unless you zoom in.

The last of the gratuitous detailed shots. This artwork was entirely done in Photoshop and on stream. A print is available for sale in my artstation shop. The poster prints capture details very well, I don't recommend this one on the canvas prints as a lot of detail gets lost in the texture of the canvas.

Pantiless Assassin 2018

Throwback from the conceptart.org era. I loved this thread, and posted quite a few times to it. This original sketch was made in 2008 and finshed about a decade later.

And there's the WIP, this was all done digitally, mostly in Procreate, then finished in Photoshop.

I liked Procreate a lot, especially the cost, and some day I may go to it full time. Just more used to working on a regular tablet and in Photoshop.

The Morrigan

From Wikipedia: The Morrígan or Mórrígan, also known as Morrígu, is a figure from Irish mythology. The name is Mór-Ríoghain in Modern Irish. It has been translated as "great queen", "phantom queen" or "queen of phantoms".

The Morrígan is mainly associated with war and fate, especially with foretelling doom, death or victory in battle. In this role she often appears as a crow, the badb. She incites warriors to battle and can help bring about victory over their enemies. The Morrígan encourages warriors to do brave deeds, strikes fear into their enemies, and is portrayed washing the bloodstained clothes of those fated to die. She also has some connection with sovereignty, the land and livestock. In modern times she is often called a "war goddess" and has also been seen as a manifestation of the earth- and sovereignty-goddess, chiefly representing the goddess's role as guardian of the territory and its people.

The Morrígan is often described as a trio of individuals, all sisters, called 'the three Morrígna'. Membership of the triad varies; sometimes it is given as Badb, Macha and Nemain while elsewhere it is given as Badb, Macha and Anand (the latter is given as another name for the Morrígan). It is believed that these were all names for the same goddess. The three Morrígna are also named as sisters of the three land goddesses Ériu, Banba and Fódla. The Morrígan is said to be the wife of The Dagda, while Badb and Nemain are said to be the wives of Neit.

She is associated with the banshee of later folklore.

Silchas Ruin

A character from the Malazan Empire series by Steven Erikson. While he isn't my favorite, he certainly comes close.

This was all done in Photoshop, sometime in late 2014 and early 2015.

Lok Tar Ogar

It's an orc from Warcraft video game. This is one of my first fully digital concept sketches. It was made in 2008 with Photoshop and experimenting with some brushes. It was later touched up in 2019.
