Beholder - Digital Paintover 2024

This is another sketch that I intended to paint over for a long time. The original tiny ink sketch was made in 2022. Finally got around to it in the last week and here's the result. Unfortunately I lost the high-res file in the process of finalizing the image and creating the WIP animation.

I painted over THIS sketch I made in 2022. It's actually been in the oven for 2 years and I've been hacking on it little by little for that long.

Ghost Woman

This is a recent ink drawing that I reworked and colored using some fun techniques. The character is inspired by the very anatomically correct japanese animation style art... Original sketch and painting were completed in 2024. Cheers!

Two Headed Dragon and War Beast

These are two sketches from earlier in 2024. I've been very busy at work this year and don't even have time for sketching during meetings. I do intend to beef both of these up, just not sure when it will happen. They both look really good in the real world though, very difficult to photograph or scan properly.

Art Practice - Demons and Dragons - from February 2021

This was done in the height of the COVID pandemic and lockdowns. It was such a good time for me, nothing much changed in my life, but the rest of the world went away. It was nice! If this is what the apocalypse and the end of the human species will look like, I for one welcome it!

This was entirely done in Photoshop, testing a buch of new brushes, then making something out of the patterns. Subseqwuently I ended up making a number of much more detailed paintings from this practice dump.

Procreate Sketch 2021

There was a period after I got my Ipad that I used Procreate quite a lot. The applicaiton is extremely powerful and certainly something that can be used professionally, a very good alternative to Photoshop. But after a while I of course once again went back to Photoshop where everything is familiar. This is a fairly rare experiment where I wanted to sketch in Procreate sometime in 2018. I didn't have anything in mind, just sat down and started drawing things.

It makes a buzzing sound!

This fairy was painted as a demo on stream for about an hour in 2021. While not being an actual speed painting, this is about as speedpainty as I go... No refs were used, matter of fact I didn't even know what I was going to paint when we started, but it was February... so it descended into a Faebruary sketch. The entire thing was done in Photoshop.
