This is my interpretation of a character from the Malazan Empire series of books by Steven Erikson. The story begins with Sorry, also known as Apsalar, and she becomes a major character as the story progresses.

Forkrul Assail - Sister Calm
This is a digital painting concept art of a member of the Forkrul Assail race of humanoid creatures described in the Malazan Empire series by Steven Erikson.
At the time I made this drawing I would consider it one of my more polished up character designs. Really enjoyed working on her.

Aptorian and Kalam
The Aptorian demon is a creature from the Shadow Realm described in the Malazan Empire series of books by Steven Erikson. It is a three legged demon, with a massive fasceted eye, and this is my take on it. Kalam is also a central character that features in many of the books, and notably has a story arc with the Aptorian demon.
This is a tiny pencil sketch, when I say tiny, it's about 2 inches across, which I made in the margin of a notebook sometime in 2013. For once it scanned better than the sketch actually looks, it has not been modified in any way other than a slight contrast increase.

K'Chain Che'Malle
Pencil drawing of a creature from the Malazan Empire series by Steven Erikson.
There are various "strains" or types of these creatures described in the books, but the K'Chain Che'Malle variant is most prominenly featured, and are the soldiers in a hive-like society. Described as giant bipedal reptilians with swords instead of arms. Based on the descritions I thought of them as resembling a Tyrannasaurus Rex in build and size.
The drawing was done in 2011, it's one of the artworks I am most proud of.
