Mermaid - Painting from 2008

This digital painting was made in 2008. Unfortunately the original high res artwork was lost to the ages. Had to regenerate from a low resolution web saved image and painted details back into it in May 2025 as I'm rebuilding my website... just in time for Mermay!

This is a digital painitng done entirely in Photoshop sometime in 2021 as part of a Mermay challenge.

The actual drawing was done in black and white only, the colors were strictly done in overlays. This was an entirely new approach for me and the result worked very well. I actually didn't spend very long on this painting considering the level of detail that got painted in.
