Figure Study from 2008 - Veronika Zemanova

Figure Study - Veronika Zemanova 2008
This is a painting done entirely in Photoshop back in 2008. Photograph of the wildly beautiful Veronika Zemanova was used as a reference. They don't quite make them like that anymore... It was one of my more successful studies as evidenced by the result. Oddly, I don't think I ever went back and did more drawings of her despite this success.

I am trying to keep this website mostly clean so I censored the image.

This woman disappeared from the public scene after her modeling career, I don't think there's a good link directly to her online though there are many fan sites still.

A girl with a sword - Sketch from 2007

Girl with a sword sketch from 2007
This was originally a pencil sketch that has been painted over digitally in 2026. I no longer know who or where the reference came from but this is too neat to just be from imagination given the timeline in which this drawing was made. I know the drawing has issues but it's too hard to fix quickly and I do like the way she turned out. I should do more of these and I just don't have time.

The AI slop has beaten me down to a point where I question why I even post anymore. That being said, I'm glad I got htis website running again, it does provide some motivation and my own place on the internet where I can show my art even if people rarely see it. Cheers!

Figure Study from 2008 - Luba Shumeyko

Luba Shumeyko
I used to do these studies a lot more when I first started drawing and actively attempting to improve as an artist. This drawing was entirely done in Photoshop. The original reference photo was NSFW, recently (2025) retouched to make it more internet and general public friendly. The model is Luba Shumeyko and you can search for her on the interwebs and find lots of cool shots. Besides the fact she is beautiful, there's something charming in the way she poses for a lot of her shoots, and the lighting used often appears to be very friendly for artists like me who are struggling to better understand the shape of the body and the anatomy.

I ended up referencing her figure and posing in other artowrks such as THIS one.

Felicia Romero - Figure Study 2008

Felicia Romero Figure Study 2008
This is a pencil drawing done in 2008. The reference is the amazing Felicia Romero who used to be an IFBB figure competitor back in the days. Check out her IG, she's still going strong!
Reference from FLEX Magazine
Here's a low res version of the original reference was from FLEX magazine. It's clear that I messed up the proportions but the drawing looked pretty good for my skill at the time. I don't know where this drawing is now, or how big the size was, but looking at some of the detailed highlights makes me think that this was actually larger than my normal half-page sketches.

Figure Studies - Bodybuilders - 2009

Since I like drawing muscles, I often study photographs of bodybuilders. It's something I've been fascinated with since I can remember. Amazing what can be achieved with training and some chemistry these days. Most people unfamiliar with bodybilding and the extremely grotesque sport it has become these days, simply don't know what's possible.
Big Ron - Figure Study from 2009
This man is a legend. Light weight!
Dennis Wolf - Figure Study from 2009
Dennis Wolf had one year at the Olympia when he made everyone look silly. The reference photo I used for this drawing is from that contest. Too bad it went downhill from there for the big guy.

Jamie Eason Figure Study

Jamie Eason Figure Study
This was a digital painting made in 2007 for practice, using a photograph as a reference. Jamie Eason is a fitness model who became rather famous in the 2000s for her amazing looks and aesthetics. She's still around and looks great. I've always admired women with muscle, and this woman is aboslute perfection when it comes to appearance. Cheers!
